Poesia Visiva with Jørgen Nash at Galerie S:t Petri, Lund
The internationally renowned poet, artist, and situationist Jørgen Nash visits Galerie S:t Petri, Lund, from 26 February to 12 March 1975.
The exhibition concerns visual poetry.
It includes a large selection of Jørgen Nash’s various activities in the form of posters, visual poems, happenings, “the whole truth,” co-ritus, film, situationism, flyers, watercolours, etc.
The name Poesia Visiva comes from an international exhibition of visual poetry which Nash helped to organize in Florence in 1969.
That exhibition, involving participants active since the 1950s, has since toured the world and is now on its way to Japan.
However, Jørgen Nash felt that Sweden should also be represented, at least by one of its participants — himself — and therefore he now shows at Galerie S:t Petri what he means by Poesia Visiva.
Jørgen Nash opens the exhibition on Wednesday, 26 February, from 14:00 to 18:00,
with a body-painting happening in the International Women’s Year 1975, together with Anu Gustafsson.
The exhibition is open on weekdays 15:00–20:00, and on Saturdays and Sundays 12:00–17:00.
