HORST TRESS13—24.01.1979
HORST TRESS, concept artist from Cologne, is exhibiting at Galerie S:t Petri, Lund, from January 13 to 24, 1979.
Since 1970, he has been sending his ideas to friends around the world through the post office in his hometown. On small postcards, stencils, and letters, he has made drawings, written sentences, or directed appeals to the recipient.
This mail art artist wants to shake the viewer, to provoke, to encourage reflection. He wants to make us experience things in more than one way. Imagination and the power of creative vision, he believes, are vital to human beings and must be protected by all possible means.
This is the first time Horst Tress presents his visual ideas in Scandinavia. However, he has already had numerous exhibitions in Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, and Argentina.
The exhibition is open weekdays 15:00–20:00, Saturdays and Sundays 13:00–17:00.
