Galerie S:t Petri Offered a Happening
(SKD, 1 August 1975)
Tom Krøjer gave a preview of the Ubbeboda Congress when he wrapped himself in steel wire and newspapers.
Galerie S:t Petri started the season on Thursday with a happening. Performing was the artist and poet Tom Kröjer from Helsingborg, who danced around wrapped in steel wire attached to fluttering sheets of newspaper.
This was a foretaste of the “INTERNATIONAL MARGINAL MAIL-ART HAPPENING”, which “will take place in Ubbeboda during two months this autumn,” from 16 August to 16 November.
The congress is organized by the Ubbeboda Center and the Drakabygget movement in collaboration with Galerie S:t Petri.
The opening’s aim was to provide an introduction to and information about the activities.
During the first week of August, an information exhibition and symposium will be held. The goal is to bring together a large number of contemporary artists from different parts of the world.
The exhibition will also serve as a special welcome event for the Japanese professor Yoshio Nakajima, who is arriving from Japan.
