The studies for la campagne (the countryside), carried out by Paul-Armand Gette, began in 1971 in Käglinge and were completed this year. They consisted of entomological and botanical observations as well as records of temperature and humidity taken at different times. The results are presented at Galerie S:t Petri during the period of August 17–23. The previous year, Paul-Armand Gette had shown a similar exhibition about the forest and the shores of Lake Ringsjön, which also lasted one week. The exhibition on the countryside also serves as the basis for the sixth issue of the experimental art journal New Eter, which is published in French.

I simply went there tovisit friends, writes Gette in theintroduction to the exhibition.– I carried out entomological investigations in August 1971 and plant surveys twice, in 1972 and 1973,as well as measurements of relative air temperature and humidity.– These are photographs from those occasionsthat form a series. The area around Käglinge has hardlychanged character over the years except for thevariations of cultivated land –wheat, rapeseed and rye fields.– It is so anonymous that when I look atthe photographs I think more aboutthe countryside in general than aboutKäglinge specifically. — — — Category: letters — <p>Handwritten letter addressed to Paul-Armand Gette, Vaduz, February 1973.
